Artur Seyss-Inquart (1892-1946)

Austrian National Socialist politician and Reich Commissioner for the Netherlands….

At the Nuremberg Trial, (he) was accused of participating directly in the deportation and shooting of hostages. In his final statement to the Tribunal he admitted the “fearful excesses” of the Nazi regime and stated that he must take responsibility in part for what had happened. (He) was hanged on October 16, 1946.
