This is the personnel entrance at Birkenau (Auschwitz II). Through it trucks with supplies and people were driven, as well as the ambulances with the Red Cross painted on the side carrying the canisters of Zyklon B (hydrogen cyanide) for the gas-chambers here. Also many prisoners marched past this gate to and from slave labor.
