Have you ever asked yourself 'How can I help an animal shelter who does so much for homeless cats (and dogs)? I don't have any spare money (these are tough times, that is for sure), I work a full-time job and have a family to take care of, so volunteering is pretty much out of the question. Well, my fellow cat (and dog) lovers, I think I can help!
I recently came across a wonderful website called http://www.freekibblekat.com. This site was started by a Mimi Ausland, a 12 year old girl from Bend, Oregon. She originally created http://www.freekibble.com/ for dogs and then realized, that it was time to feed the cats too!
FreeKibble.com's mission is to provide good, healthy food to shelters who work so hard to take care of the unwanted cats and dogs in our country. Right now, Mimi is helping out Humane Society of Central Oregon, but helping out other shelters will soon follow.
I hope you will take the time to visit these sites and play a little 'Meow Trivia' or 'Bow Wow Trivia' to help feed homeless cats and dogs. Hopefully, someday, there will be free kibble for all shelter pets!
