FAQ
Q:
I am out of the range of KPFK
and want to hear the show or get a transcript-how
can I do that?
A: You
can listen in real time on the Internet (check your
time zone) on www.kpfk.org. The transcripts are not
available, but sometimes the air checks are –
email us.
Q: What
is the format of the show? Each month:
A: 1st
Tuesday - First Tuesday
2nd Tuesday - Interview
3rd Tuesday - Reality check
Tuesday
4th Tuesday - Interview
If there is a 5th Tuesday in
the month, we continue with reality check Tuesday
and focus on emails from you. In 2006, there may be
a format change – a surprise is around the corner!
Q: How can
I get on the show or have my question answered?
A: You may
email the show at doctornita@kpfk.org or
nitaKPFK@yahoo.com
You may email your comments
as well.
Q: What is
the music heard on the show?
A: The theme
(open and close) is Dreamland by Robert Miles, break
music is Songs of Sanctuary by Adiemus, and the music
on Reality check Tuesday is from the Information Society
CD.
Q: Is Dr.
Nita taking new psychotherapy clients and where does
she work?
A: Yes, she
is and the offices are in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Q: What if
I am scared about therapy – my family says it
is only for weak people?
Unfortunately, asking for help
is still stigmatized in this society. However, the
truth is that is takes real courage to admit that
you may need to seek answers outside of yourself to
get a fresh perspective. Remember that old definition
of insanity—doing the same thing over and over
again and expecting different results….part
of what therapy does is help you think outside the
box.
