The Apprentice vs. Entrepreneur$
Disney:
Actually before applying for Entrepreneur$, I traveled to Florida upon the guidance of my husband to try out for The Apprentice. I always thought about doing it and one day my husband and I saw a commercial for tryouts, we both looked at each other and he said I needed to do it. So within two days I had a plane ticket to Florida, my application complete and my picture and was on my way to Florida. By the way, this was the first time ever I had been anywhere alone, especially flying alone. It was fun, a new challenge for me at the time, something to take me out of my comfort zone. So I went, lined up at 4am and then proceeded to the interview process. They took 8 people at a time and sat us around a table, then posed a question and watched us debate. Honestly, I thought they were just looking for the most overly dramatic and strongly opinionated people…not me. I didn’t make it past the first round, but that was ok with me cause I had accomplished so much more on the trip, it was more about me doing this alone and just knowing that I tried. So upon my return home, my cousin informed me about the local Entrepreneur$ show, which was funny because the application was exactly the same as the one I did for the Apprentice. But since I wasn’t able to attend auditions, they had already passed by, I had to create a video. I don’t remember much of my video other than wakeboarding and trying to act like I had some skills (really the only wakeboarding skills I have is a sore neck the following day). So I put together a video and met ED to give him my application and video. I should have known this would be a long process when I went to meet ED at a local restaurant and he was more than 20 minutes late. After giving ED my stuff, I figured I could at least get to the next round…then it would be on, I planned to win the entire thing. I have this thing with visualizing doing something and I totally visualized that I would win, stay tuned to see if it worked.

Hey Disney! This is my first time on a blog. I can't wait to see you on "Entrepreneurs" The Reality Show. I also tried out for The Apprentice and didn't make it. I have a Masters Degree from Duke and I own and operate a very large Accounting Firm in Durham. Obviously they aren't looking for successful women for the show. I think The Apprentice is typical show business. Entrepreneurs appears to be the real deal. I sure hope so. It will be nice to see REALITY for a change. Good luck!
