What’s your best asset?
The Producer:
Most were good, some where great, and some just stunk! It was the most hilarious day I have ever spent working. Just like starting your own business, we threw a lot at them and changed the action points as often as we could. It was our test to see who could mentally hang. With over 2,500 entrants we had to be fair but cut people as fast as we could. We even had a dummy interview station set up to see how contestants would re-act if they were slated to be in that spot. That’s where our mics and cameras saw REAL personalities. It was also how we eliminated most of the first round. Unfortunately most of that footage could only be shown on cable.
Anyway, we heard lie after lie, but the crowd was still most impressive. One guy brought his invention; one had a surfboard, another who looked like he had to borrow bus fair to get there but spent the entire interview telling us how much he was worth. One lady, when asked what her best asset was, kindly exposed her breast. That was the first time I heard the Director say CUT. What was funnier was when he said “take two”.
