So we’ve got the GQ Producer and the Muppet head Professor!
Gay Guy: Part 1
It was a cold rainy day when I was invited to the Capital Events Center. Funny thing though, I signed up for the show at the audition and online. Online I had sent a resume. Well, I received two invitations. I think one was for the green team and the other for the orange team. So you know what I was so confused. I was happy with the fact I was picked to attend the next step but with receiving 2 invites I sorta did not feel that it was going to be a small crowd so I was not disappointed for seeing a crowd when I walked into the room. The email read something like "you have been chosen to be a part of entrepreneurs the reality show" well I think some people thought they were instantly in the finals. Many many people showed up that day, but you could tell the look of confusion and disappointment that was on some people's faces due to the fact they now had realized that they were far from in the finals.
I was anxious to see what was needed of me next. I was also happy to see that Amy from G105 was back again and that this time I would probably be able to talk to her and get that autograph I never got on my tee-shirt.
Well, this not being the first time I had been on camera for any type of shoot, well it was the first time I was on a "TV" shoot, I mean with the "movie" I did it was all about lines and scenes. But, here it was live, unscripted (on our part mostly) and real.
I was able to get a good look at the ‘Producer’, and ‘Professor’ a MC type guy, he reminded me of the newscaster from the Muppets funny looking Muppet type head on a small body. Also it was the first time I got a really good look at ‘Producer’ who was all GQ with a white strip in his hair, he looked cool like a million bucks.
Well I thought it was funny we went through some intro info, we took a few takes, and I realized reality TV sometimes is just not live but live over and over again until it looks great and sounds even better. We dispersed for a first team meeting, and what was funny was ‘Professor’ told us no matter what time we came back it was be like we were gone 10 min, I think we were to be back at 3:10 but we were back taping like at 4pm.
Well here is the dilemma I was not the only one with two colors so we went to ‘ED’ and he grouped us left overs and made us the "pink" team I was thinking how appropriate. Well speaking to my mom the day before she told me I should try to get a foot in the door first, so I volunteered to be Team captain, and one other girl was like a note taker. We started with like 15 people in my group and this was without the other two people (‘Batman’ and ‘Mrs.Retro’) who would be along with me in the final 16.
