Carrots, celery and grapes - oh my!

This amazing trio makes a fantastic juice combination! Not only is this juice truly tasty, but each ingredient has its own therapeutic strengths. Carrots and celery are both very alkalizing and cleansing to our bodies. Grapes, tiny but mighty, have been found to contain natural chemicals that have the potential to stop the spread of cancer cells. So DRINK UP! You can now enjoy this delicious combination even more knowing its amazing healing benefits.
Carrot - 6 oz.
Celery - 6 oz.
Grape - 4 oz.

This week's recipe has one of my favorite ingredients - BLACKBERRIES!!! And, except for the topping, you can make it any time of year with frozen berries. This is a wonderful way to start the morning!
Bye, bye black... berries!
1 pint frozen blackberries
1/4 cup fresh blackberries
1/4 cup almonds
2 medjool dates
A handful of spinach
1 cup filtered or alkaline water
Blend all ingredients except the fresh blackberries until smooth. Add more or less water for desired consistency. Pour ingredients into a glass and top with fresh blackberries! Mmm Good!
This week's juice recipe comes from Pamela Bryman, who lives in the Philadelphia area. She's been changing her diet to include organic meats, fruits and vegetables while also trying to add in more raw choices. She's found that juicing is the easiest way to do that. She's been juicing for 3 weeks now and says she can really feel the energy boost. For more about Pam, visit her blog http://www.2habitsaweek.com.Now, drum roll, for her recipe:
Pam's Key Lime Elixir

Nice handful of spinach (you can also use kale)
half of a large cucumber
2 stalks of celery
1-2 medium-sized carrots
1 large apple
1/2 lemon
2-4 key limes (also known as Mexican limes)
We here at Splendor In The Raw have tried it out and it's one of our favorites. Pam says when she first tried it she didn't know that key limes were different from regular limes. For those of you who also aren't sure of the difference, key limes are a bit sweeter and are about the size of a ping-pong ball while regular limes are a bit more sour and look like lemons, but green. Try key limes in your green juices, you'll like it! We did!
