MORE ANGELIC PROTECTION
In Touched by the Extraordinary, there is a similar 9/11 story of a friend of ours. Having run down the street to escape the fall of the first tower, he was about to turn around and head back towards the scene when, for some reason, he felt a strong urge to run around one of the enormously tall buildings. Good thing he did this because it clearly saved his life. The fall of the second tower would have killed him had he not sought protection from the huge office building. Again, was it an angel that guided him there? Perhaps, or perhaps it was his own intuitive wisdom picking up a sense of what was about to take place next. Again, what matters most is that something spoke to him – and he listened. Thank God!
Audrey Edwards, the wonderful and delightful writer who interviewed me for the article on intuition in the September 2006 issue of Health Magazine, also shared with me a powerful story from her childhood. While walking home from school on a warm fall day, and being no more than seven or eight at the time, a huge dark blue car rolled up next to her as she walked along the street. “Would you like to see my …….., little girl?" he asked. Remembering the words of her mom regarding strangers like this, she said, “No, thank you,” and kept walking. The car disappeared into the horizon. But, listening to a voice deep within her, she recalled quickly running and hiding behind several huge boulders and a few large evergreen shrubs. Sure enough, she watched with her heart beating a mile a minute as the dark blue car returned to where she had just been strolling down the street, in a leisurely fashion. She breathed a sign of relief when the car picked up speed and drove away. Not wasting a second, she ran all the way back home to tell her mom everything that had transpired. As young as she was, she had intuitively known that the man was trouble – and that she could have been harmed if she had not listened to her soul's wisdom. Again, some might say that her angels had protected her and others might say that she had listened to her inner guidance. Bottom line, aren’t we are saying the same thing here?
