TIP#7 THE MORE WE LOVE, THE GREATER OUR INTUITIVE PSI

Doesn’t everything feel good when we come from love? Can you remember your perspective about all aspects of life when your heart filled with love for your lover, your new baby, your new friend, your newfound connection with God or nature? When we feel love, we feel so good about everyone and everything. Why? Because when we focus on whatever it is that created pure loving feelings, we are releasing endorphins and neuropeptides in the brain which travel throughout the body, finding the appropriate receptor sites, and the body immediately is aware of how we are feeling. It then works to create even more of the same. So, being in love or focusing on anyone or anything that represents love will enable you to produce chemicals which translate as messages of love for your body. We know, scientifically, that love is one of the highest calibrated vibrations, and that such high vibrations contribute to greater immune system functioning. So, we are healthier, but we are also more psychic!

Your heart chakra is an energy center deeply affected by your personal experiences of either being in love or being in heartbreak. Remember the expressions, “My heart feels like it is breaking.” or “I am so happy I feel like my heart is about to explode!” ? Your heart registers your feelings of love and joy. Psi energy (your ability to know ) is increased during times of significant feelings of love, as well as of grief and pain. Actually, it is when you are feeling great love or grief that you experience multiple synchronicities. It is during these times that amazing events occur that you know are more than simply coincidences.

INTUITIVE TIP # 6 FEEDING THE SOUL CONNECTION: FORGIVENESS AND SURRENDER (DETACHMENT)

Are you still carrying around the time your best friend let you down? Are you still angry with yourself because you lost your temper at a friend who was truly giving you his or her best? Do you still grieve for a loved one who meant the world to you? Are you carrying around your family’s pain because a relative let everyone down? Perhaps you are really angry at a school or college or company because it chose to not accept you or a loved one.

Unless you are willing to be honest with yourself about old hurts, resentments, and painful thoughts and feelings you continue to carry with you, you will have difficulty developing intuitively. What is required here is having the intention of forgiving those who have hurt you, not for the other person’s sake, but for yours. Also, essential is holding them in your focus, being willing to truly forgive them for their actions, and then surrendering them to the Universe. Here’s a powerful technique: Begin first by focusing on your breath, and only when calm and relaxed, picture your heart filling with love. Feel the love in your heart. Then, focus on the individual you wish to forgive, send this love to the person and, while doing do, repeat (with feeling) the words, I forgive you. Also, state, or think the thought, I surrender you to the Universe or God because I need to be detached from you and move one with my life. Sometimes, it helps to picture a cord that runs between you and the individual and to imagine taking a scissors and cutting the cord while you are forgiving this person. See them sliding away from you; feel your energy of well-being returning and filling you with a sense of peace. The more you practice this throughout the day, while in meditation, or during each of your breath exercises, the easier it will become for you achieve true forgiveness. Eventually, it will feel more genuine and you will feel lighter, healthier and happier. Remember, this is for you healing you and not for the other person!

INTUITIVE TIP # 5 ENGAGING IN HUMOR, YOUR PASSION, SERVING, AND FINDING A GREAT SPIRITUAL TEACHER AND INTUITIVE GROUP

Remember to be light; find the humorous aspect of a situation; focus on whatever make you laugh, smile and simply feel really, really happy and good. Renting a funny video or going to a hilarious movie will raise your vibrations immensely. Find<strong> a wonderful spiritual teacher as well as a group of like-minded people who share your hunger to develop intuitively. Engage in any activity for which you have a passion or have always wanted to do but could not. Play your favorite CD music frequently. Visit the beach, your favorite lake, or the mountains; take a seminar; go on a retreat. Each of these activities will allow you the experience of increased sensations of peace, tranquility, and serenity.

Give of yourself to help or serve others. Volunteer at a local soup kitchen, hospital, home for youth or the elderly. Bake a cake or bring in a meal for someone on your block who is lacking support, emotionally and/or physically. Find someone in whose life you can make a difference, be it with a hug, smile, transportation, a dinner, or,simply, your presence. Know that any time you give from your heart, your body and your soul are delighted and release needed endorphins and neuropeptides which correspond to your altruistic intentions. In other words, your body and your soul love it when you give of yourself.

INTUITIVE TIP #4 RAISING YOUR ENERGETIC VIBRATIONS – BREATH, MEDITATION, YOGA, RIGHT-BRAIN CREATIVE ACTIVITIE

Remember that you are an amazing energetic being, and the higher your energy is, the more likely you can and will be responsive to your own intuitive wisdom and that of anyone or anything attempting to connect with you intuitively. Yes, you vibrate, as does everything in the universe. But the secret to becoming truly intuitive, is to learn the art of raising your energetic vibrations. And, do not forget that the higher vibrations are those of peace, love, joy and enlightenment>. You get to feel really good while you are learning to open to your own intuitive potential. This is enjoyable, fun and exciting because it all feels so good!

You many be wondering: How do I raise my vibrations?. Lots of ways. First, and most importantly, begin to practice using another gift with which you were born – the breath. More about this will follow. In addition, engage in activities such as meditations of various kinds (many of which use the breath), yoga, tai chi and qui gong. Since intuition is more a function of the right hemisphere of your brain (the creative side), participating in artistic, literary, musical and any other types of activities which foster your creative talents engenders the blossoming of your intuitive wisdom.

TIP#2 & 3 REMEMBER YOU WERE BORN WITH THE GIFT OF INTUITION & KNOW THE POWER OF INTENTION

Intuition is one of the gifts with which you came into physical experience. It means you already know everything you need to know – or have access to such knowing. Think for a moment of the times you just knew something, and, fortunately, you listened to your own wisdom. For many, this saves lives: whether it is the time you get out of the way of a speeding car on the highway, the times you anticipate a frightening or traumatic situation, or the times you know something may be wrong with you psychically, contributing to your visiting your family doctor. Pay attention to your sense that you know something and act on it, – and record the results. This scorekeeping will reinforce you. The more you practice, the more you will trust yourself.

When you intend to do something, you focus on that thought and whatever you focus on, you create. This is real power because it allows you to create your own reality. Intend to develop your psI or sixth sense. Write your intention; say it to yourself and to others. Make it your intention to find opportunities to test your sixth sense. When I made it my intention to develop my intuition in 1994, I literally put it into prayer form and asked to be given a special teacher. Within days, my prayer request was answered and my teacher came into my life. Pretty amazing!

INTUITIVE TIP# 1. HARNESSING THE GIFT OF YOUR BREATH.

You were born with an extraordinary gift: the gift of breath. You have the ability to harness your breath so that you can create feelings of well-being and peace throughout your body. This, in turn, contributes to your shifting energetically to a higher vibration and releasing needed endorphins and neuropeptides that calm and relax the body. Several decades ago, Dr. Herbert Benson, of Harvard University, researched this for his cardiac patients; the result being a small but powerful and important book, The Relaxation Response. I have combined his work regarding the use of breath and blended it with techniques using imagery (your ability to imagine or “in your mind’s eye” see whatever you desire) in order to help you shift to a higher energetic vibration which, in turn, permits you to have a greater “psi experience.”

Find a quiet, restful place where you will have no interruptions. Play soothing music such as Pachelbel with the gentle splashing of ocean waves in the background or Native American music. Sit in a chair, feet on the floor, back relatively straight, hands resting on your lap, face up, eyes closed, and begin to breathe. On your in- breath, visualize a cord going from you to your higher source or God or angels; a cord which pulls in warm, healing energy (you can give it a color and texture). On your out-breath, visualize and experience a sense of this warm, relaxing energy traveling down from your crown or nostrils into every cell of every part of your body; see and feel your cells feeling the warmth as they are bathed in this breath. Breathe in in this manner to the count of ten(or lower, if ten is too difficult); hold your breath to the count of ten, if possible; breathe out ever so slowly to the count of ten (even more) if possible. Be sure to feel and see in your “mind’s eye” your felt-sense of your body’s cells experiencing a significant increase of warmth, calm and peace. Do this ten times. Practice this at least15 minutes a day (or at least five minutes at a time, several times a day.) Note with a number from one to ten your level of tension pre-breath and then following the breath work. You may do easy, normal breathing in and out between deep breaths, always noting new sensations and/or awareness of a shift in you energy.
