I am seeking local know-how and information about
HARTSDALE, NY. I badly need to find local people who may know about the
VONDRAK family and what has become of them, despite the fact that all we
know at the moment is so long ago.
Can you possibly help us???
Do you know where we might make contact with John VONDRAK or, if he is no
longer alive, his heirs, or anyone who may have known him???
The information we have is very sparse!
It seems that Joseph Vondrak, who at that time lived at Hartsdale, N.Y. USA
in 1926 bought half of a house in Prague, Czechoslovakia, from a man by the
name of Mirko Bradac, who was at that time living at 452 Bedford Road,
Pleasantvile, N.Y. USA.
That is all we know.
If we can find them, the heirs of John VONDRAK have a right to reclaim the
property in Prague.
Search and Unite was established in general in order to try to help rejoin
family members who were separated by the ravages of World War II, and who
may have survived. We are also searching for people whose families
originate in what is now the territory of the Czech Republic, and who may
have a chance to reclaim Real-estate which belonged to their families. This
matter is now extremely urgent because a deadline has been set for all
property claims. After 25 May 2001 no further claims will be entertained by
the Czech Authorities.
If you are interested to see what our work is about, please spend a few
minutes and look at our web pages at https://remember.org/unite.
I would be grateful for any guidance you can give me.
Do you know of anyone who has researched the genealogy of the VONDRAK
surname?
Sincerely,
David Lewin

Search & Unite attempt to help locate people who, despite the passage
of so many years since World War II, may still exist "out there".
We also assist in the process of re-possession of property in the Czech
Republic. See our Web page at https://remember.org/unite.
