Awakening Your Intuitive Knowing, Part V
This is Part V of a ten part blog. Part I begins on 10/15/07. In order to better understand what follows, it would be best to read the previous parts.
Caroline Myss writes in one of her books that during the time of Jesus, the band of light that humans could see was much narrower or smaller than we now see. They could not really see purple or indigo very well. They were not color blind, but they could not see the difference between purple and blue which now we easily see. So, if you can allow what I’ve just said to kind of settle in, it might give you a sense for what you are looking for as you begin to work with your intuitive sight.
Remember, you don’t “see” things with your eyes when you are doing intuitive work. Instead you just “feel”---it is a gut thing---this is just another way of saying you are using your 6th sense.
Where I want to go with all that I have just said is not anywhere near what I actually sat down and prepared to say today. I have learned, especially after doing so many intuitive development classes, not to get caught up in making sure I cover what I prepared for. I have also learned to transfer this same way of flowing with things that I am doing now in this class into most parts of my life, too.
My ego will script how it wants something to turn out and what it scripts is very limited compared to what my Soul is likely to have in mind for me. Also, if I tune in at the Soul level, I will sense and see a situation very differently from how my ego would see it.
So I have learned to let things flow instead of always trying to script them in my life; and I have learned to see them with the eyes and heart of my Soul and not from the myopia or narrow-mindedness of my ego. I choose to feel first and think later.
I have learned to see with my “first eye” and not my physical eyes. Why is it that we call intuitive sight the “third eye”? It really is the “first eye!” It is the first resource we want to use, if we really want to know something or someone.
